Saturday Morning Bible Study

The time is from 9:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. and will be held at the NMUMC Education Building kitchen.  This year we are combining three unique studies, each lasting approximately six weeks, to create a coherent theme for the class.

The schedule is below:

Session 1:  Storm Shelter - God's Embrace in the Psalms by Philip Nation - starting 10/05/2019 to 11/16/2019 (a seventh week is added as buffer for cancellation)

After the first session a break will take place to accommodate Thanksgiving and Christmas season and all that accompanies those celebrations.  Will also give you time to concentrate on your Advent Study.

Session 2: Pray Like This - Living the Lord's Prayer by Steve Gaines - Starting 01/04/2020 to 02/15/2020 (a seventh week is added as buffer for cancellation)

After the second session a break will take place to accommodate Lent which will start on 02/26/2020 - those six weeks are usually very busy and again will give you time for a Lenten Study.

Session 3:  Thrive - Living in Real Joy by Tony Merida - The Bible chapter that will be the focus of this study is Philippians - starting 04/18/2020 to 05/30/2020 (a seventh week is added as buffer for cancellation)

This study will take us from the storms to shelters to prayer to joy.

The Christmas Story in Word and Song

Saturday, December 14 at 4 p.m. - NMUMC Sanctuary
featuring the La Camerata Nuove singers and Francisco deAraujo
(The choir that sang on Good Friday.)

Important! To guarantee a seat, it is essential that our office receive a response by November 10th via email hometownchurch@comcast.net or call the church office (301-865-3530).   We are offering this as an outreach to the community and it is important to know how many congregants and friends will be attending the 4 p.m. service.  We have an option to add another service at 6 p.m. if there is enough interest from our parish and the community.
